Verse & Vino

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation has transformed Verse & Vino 2020 into a 90-minute broadcast. The November 5th virtual event will retain the essential elements of Verse & Vino: five New York Times best-selling authors, stories of your Library’s impact in the community, and a celebration of reading, writing and the joy of libraries – repackaged in a fast-paced, entertaining virtual production. The new format will allow Verse & Vino to be more accessible than ever, and will incorporate new interactive features and surprises only possible on a digital platform.
FURNISHED – an event benefiting Furnish For Good

Ten Charlotte interior designers will compete to create the best vignette using the same basic furnishings. In November, you can vote on your favorite one by making a donation online. Plus, all designers are donating pieces for an online silent auction. Proceeds will benefit Furnish for Good, which connects well-loved home furnishings to underserved communities. 7th Annual South End Shuffle
Saturday, November 14 - Sunday, November 15
Run virtually on November 14 or run in person on November 15, depending on your comfort levels. Due to continued restrictions to events, and for the safety and enjoyment of runners, the in person 2020 South End Shuffle 5K & Mile Run will take place at McAlpine Park, 8711 Monroe Rd on Sunday, November 15th. Would you rather run the traditional South End Shuffle route or just do your own route? You can still be a virtual participant, support the causes, and get all the race swag. Pajamas All Day 5K & 10K
Saturday, November 21
The Move for Jenn Foundation is hosting a virtual second annual Pajamas All Day 5K/10K run or walk. The event will take place when and where you want it, but your support will still make a difference raising awareness and funding for sarcoma cancer and research. This foundation helps sarcoma cancer amputees afford or obtain active-wear prosthetics. Registration and donation details can be found online.
Small Business Saturday

Explore the local shops, restaurants, and breweries to find the perfect holiday gifts at this annual holiday shopping market! The event will host 200 local shops, 70 places to eat and drink, and free trolley rides throughout the South End area.
